The killing of a journalist is considered the ultimate form of censorship. Between 1992 and 2020, nearly 2000 journalists have been killed. I analyzed data from the Committee to Protect Journalists to find out where these acts of violence are taking place.
I created this data viz as part of my final project for a data visualization certificate program at the University of Washington. Below, you’ll also find a video I produced for that project, which takes the format of a “3-minute story.”
